Welcome to Carriage for Hire! We have horse drawn vehicles available for any occasion.
Carriage for Hire is a family owned company in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. We pride ourselves in being in the business of "making memories" for the people who both live and visit here. The company was started in 1987, and today is the premiere carriage company in Utah. We run 6 days a week year round in the downtown area, usually in the evenings, but we can generally provide a carriage at any time or location throughout the state.
Our services vary widely from scenic tours around the downtown area, to wedding transportation, mounted security, vehicles, props and personnel for backdrops, movie shoots or plays, and options for just about any other special event where an old time vehicle is needed. As the largest carriage company in Utah we have a great collection of horse
drawn vehicles available for just about any event or activity
you might be planning.

The carriage stop is located on South Temple at the south gate of Temple Square. Or, if you are making an appointment, you will be instructed as to where you will be picked up. (See a map)
Please be aware that there is a weight limit on the carriage for the benefit of the horses and is at the discretion of the driver. Generally we can seat 4 adults and 2 small children. Multiple carriages can be made available for groups larger than this.
